I started swimming in this giant tank with a bunch of guys who looked exactly
like me. We were swimming up this long tunnel and I had a long tail and...
Wait, that is to far back.
Seriously, I was born in New York City on February 16, 1970. About a year
after I was born, we moved to Florence, Italy, and then three years later
we returned to New York. I grew up moving between San Diego and New York
- it seems I always return to the City.
I attended New York University where I earned a Masters Degree in Pediatric
Occupational Therapy. In addition to modeling, I work at P.S. 99 in Queens for New York
City Department of Education as a pediatric occupational therapist. I mostly
work with physically challenged children, mostly those with cerebral palsey,
down syndrome or mental retardation.
I started modeling because I truly love it and it was a great way to make some extra cash. I have appeared
in Playgirl numerous times and it was just announced that I am Playgirl's Man of the Year for 2007. I have also been featured in several print ads, exercise magazines and a couple of adult publications.
Personally, I have a great love of music. I play the drums in a garage
band that is cutting a demo this winter. I love to surf and bodyboard in
the summer and ski and snowboard in the winter. I love nature and go hiking
and camping often. I also love fine dining and traveling. I especially
love travelling in Asia and Europe and my favorite food is Sushi. One of
my favorite things to do is go to museums and one of the most random things
I do is that I raise Beta fish as pets.
Currently I live in Manhattan. I love New York City because of the great
restaurants, the culture and the excitement, but at the same time it is
so close to the mountains and the ocean.
As much as I love New York though, I ultimately would love to move West.
I am a certified personal trainer with the American Council on Exercise
and have my own training business in New York. For my personal workout
I train 5 days a week hitting each body part at least one day a week. For
a really fun cardio, I play basketball in a league of New York City professionals.
I also take my nutrition very seriously and follow a strict diet regimen,
eating 5 to 6 times a day. I generally bench 295 for 6 reps, squat 365
for 10 reps and shoulder press 185 for 5 reps.
In 2005, I shot my first workout video available through Mega Muscle.
Most of you are familiar with recent news covering my modeling in the press. It has been exciting and I appreciate all of the support. This has been the beginning of my journey, I am so excited that you guys can all join me for the next steps!
